Watching “The Leftovers” on HBO, I recognized many of the locations instantly. Some of the show was shot in Rockland County, NY, where I grew up.
This screenshot shows the telltale shape of the Tappan Zee Bridge, which I recognized instantly. Episode 2 also has an entire scene shot in Nyack’s Runcible Spoon cafe.
If they shot the high school scenes at Ramapo, I don’t think I could stand it.
